EOTC week is where you go on school trips, It is also to build up your confidence and gets you prepared for camp next year.
This year were are going to the:
Orakei Marae (Monday)
Tree Adventures (Tuesday)
Orienteering at Waiatarua Reserve (Wednesday)
Mt Albert Wave Pools (Thursday)
My Reflections...
Orakei Marae
The girls learnt the poi and the boys learnt a special haka. The poi was originally done by the men. Because it would strength their wrists, as it used to be made of flax. But now it is much softer it has stuffing inside then it has a plastic bag wrapped around. Then we perfomed to each other it can be be hard to perform in front of people you don't know some times.
Wave Pools
I overcame my fear of waves and swimming in deep pools. I really enjoyed the day. My dad came on the trip, for the first time ever. There was a water slide there. The waves would keep on stopping and starting every half an hour.
I enioyed my week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
